A Momentous Moment with Macaroni

If you've seen my FB page tonight, then you've already seen this video.  It makes me so excited that I have to share it here too!

This afternoon I gave Samuel a plate of messy food (which I try to do several times a week) to let him play in.  He rubs his hands it it, smashes it, and throws it off the highchair.  That's usually it.

But today was different.  Don't ask me why....but when I put the macaroni down in front of him he actually picked up a few pieces and ate them (without gagging!!!)

Oh man oh man.  I'm pumped.  (PS.  Just ignore my voice.  I was paying more attention to what he was doing than what I was saying.  I'm pretty sure I repeated myself a few times.)

  1. YAY! YAY! YAY! What a huge breakthrough. Hopefully, he will do it again. Once he realizes macaroni is pretty good, he might want it all the time!

  4. Yay, you did such a great job of staying calm with him, even though I could hear big time excitement in your voice, like you wanted to jump for joy.
