Barefoot and...

Michael and I are thrilled to announce that we are expecting!  Samuel's little brother/sister is due on March 4th, 2013.

Needless to say, this pregnancy is being monitored very closely and we are hopeful that by employing all known strategies to prevent preterm labor (and praying...alot), we might make it to the end with a chunky full-term baby.

Will you please join us in praying for a very LONG, extremely boring, and undoubtedly healthy pregnancy?  This is truly a step of faith for us.  We understand better than the average couple that things do not always go according to plan; but we are choosing to trust and thank God for this little life each and every day.

The proud big brother.

  11. Congratulations! Praying for a long pregnancy. I know two moms of 24 weekers who went on to have 36-37 week babies with no NICU time. Praying the same for you.

  16. Firstly, CONGRATS!! Second, i have to tell you i just came over from your youtube video of Samuel's first year. I was looking at 23 week ultrasounds since thats how far along i am now and saw your video pop up. I dont think i have cried that hard during this pregnancy (besides when my husband crashed my brand new car this past weekend). His journey is so amazing, i cried nervous tears then they turned into happy tears for the duration of the video. When i saw the first picture of his eyes open i knew he was something special. Congrats again, you are very blessed. Ill be bookmarking your blog to keep up!

  17. I used to follow your blog when he was still in the NICU. I stopped because I didn't have time to read blogs anymore, but was thinking about you today, because I am pregnant with my own child. I almost cried when I saw this. You are due 4 days before I am. You don't know me, of course, but your story was inspiring to me, and I am so happy for you, and you will be in my prayers.
