Samuel and Santa

Yup, we did it.  We broke the 'rules' of RSV isolation today and made our way to the local mall with Clorox wipes in one hand and sanitizer in the other.  I couldn't stand the thought of Samuel missing out on 2011's Santa picture, so I picked a quiet time of the day and lucked into a kid-free Santa.

Samuel wasn't quite as excited about the whole process as I was.  It's not that he was scared of Santa, he just wanted to do what HE wanted to do...and sitting on Santa's lap wasn't acceptable.  We managed to get the following picture, with Samuel sitting on MY knee as I leaned out of the picture.  It's not great, but it gets the job done!

And here he is with Santa last year...so much happier!

Who knew that 1 year and 6 pounds makes so much difference?!?

  1. Funny! I love how Santa is leaning as close as he can to get the picture :)

  2. Awww - poor thing, he looks so frightened. He was much happier last year before he knew a scary looking stranger was holding him!
