Samuel's 2nd Spooky Night

For Samuel's second Halloween, we dressed him as Dr. Arrington (his neonatologist at Childrens.)  Although we didn't get out and about last night, I was sure to take a few pictures to send to Dr. A.

What do you think?  See the resemblance?  The bald-cap is made from a pair of knee-high pantyhose, my sister-in-law made his green scrubs, we Photoshopped a fake name badge, and I bought him a play stethoscope and doctor's bag.

Last year, Samuel was a giraffe.  We stole a quick picture without the oxygen cannula on his face.  I remember thinking that he looked SO big in his costume...all 12 lbs of him!  Looking at the pictures from this year, I can't get over how much he has changed...I'm amazed at how quickly these last few months have gone and how he has grown.  I love it!

This is my favorite picture.  It looks like he thinks it's knee-slapping funny!

Here is a picture of his mock ACH badge (I had one of the nurses send me a picture of their badge so we could make it similar):

Michael has been gone on a work-related trip for the last week, so we had to carve our pumpkin last night.  For time's sake, we opted for a simple face and managed to get it on our porch just in time for the trick-or-treaters!

We tried to let Samuel in on the fun, but he didn't seem to understand the concept of the-knife-is-sharp or don't-swallow-the-pumpkin-seeds...so he watched from below.  But don't worry, he wasn't bored.  He entertained himself by using his stethoscope as a telephone!  It was so cute to hear him talk on it.

Michael did most of the carving while I made these cute little pumpkin spiders (inspired from Pinterest.)

And here is our finished pumpkin:

We hope you had a fun Halloween!

  1. Hahahahahaha! That costume is knee-slapping funny. I bet the doctor is going to LOVE it. What a cute idea. It would be really neat if he turns out to be a doctor and he has this adorable picture to look back on.
