Car Seat Test

Day 122
Weight: 5 lbs 7 oz

Samuel passed his car seat test - which consisted of him sitting in his car seat for three hours without having any episodes. He did great!

We are still waiting for the double-thickened feeds to pass through his system. Thankfully everything seems to be ok so far. Mistakes are frustrating and scary.

Tomorrow we will begin rooming in. Tuesday Samuel will have his final eye exam. Michael will be trained on how to use the oxygen tanks that same morning at the house....then he will make his way down to Little Rock. We will take the CPR class on Tuesday night and then hopefully be discharged Wednesday. Samuel has to continue taking his bottles and gaining weight until that time.

The past couple of days have crawled by.....compared to how long we've been here, the amount of time we have to wait is insignificant. It's also FOREVER.

  5. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is getting brighter and brighter. So glad to hear he passed the car seat test and is now one step closer to getting to come home. He has come so far and has taught us a great deal in faith and patience. Have the doctors said how much longer they feel he may need the oxygen once he comes home? Continuing in prayers.
